No matter where you go in life, first and foremost, you can never forget where you came from. Something that keeps me unique amongst my peers is being adopted at 3 years old from a small little town called Penza, Russia. My american family flew all the way to Russia in 1992 to adopt a little curly crazy haired child in an orphanage (just 3 years when the Soviet Union ended and open adoption began). Theres been bundles of challenges yet so many enhancing experiences through the years with the new life that God had blessed me with in America. I do wonder at times what my life could have become if I grew out of the orphanage once I was of age, and what kind of life I would have set for myself. Obviously, I would not have it any other way. My family (and when i say family, its the only family i’ve ever known, [my adopted family]) is not perfect to say the least, but the relationships i’ve created and the lessons I’ve learned over the years will last a life time.
The website above was created by my sister, Natalie, whom which was adopted from South Korea in 1983 as a baby. We have 2 other siblings as well.
Adoption is not an everyday topic in which we speak of, its dynamics and the citizens in which were adopted all have a very unique experience of their own. We hope to get more of a community together and share the experiences we’ve had and bring something a little more authentic to the table.

This site I have created to help tone my body more & to see a difference. I have become a vegetarian (or in other words a “flexitarian”) in the last 3 months & already have reaped many benefits from it, including energy I never thought I had & becoming more aware of the foods I put in my body. Post will be meant for inspiration not just for me but including others who come across my page. I want to be able to look back and see the differences I have made, not just in my body, but my attitude & goals I set everyday. I hope you find things interesting & can relate to. I’m re-blogging an old post of mine because I want to look back and see where I’ve been improving and what work I need to accomplish for more satisfaction.
I will be blogging more in the upcoming months to keep myself on track (just another goal of mine) ALSO, I will have a baby due NEXT week! SO yes, my whole life is changing completely and for the better and I couldn’t be happier to meet our new bundle of joy.
Here on out, my goals will include:
-raising my new little human life to HIS potential in a safe and healthy environment.
-working hard everyday with my other half in growing a strong bond in our relationship and bringing ourselves and baby closer to God.
-getting my pre-pregnancy weight back (of course, that’s every girl’s dream, but IT WILL HAPPEN)
-being more aware as a new mother in the foods and ingredients I am putting in my little boy’s mouth and boyfriend, to have a healthy and fit family.
-last but not least, I have my own personal/internal obstacles I must over come. Moving to a new city with the baby and finding a new job is going to be a challenge to say the least, and providing any sort of income while my time is off is a task I am willing to look hard and work hard for.

So this evening, I’ve decided the only best way to keep track of any sort of pregnancy blog would be through tumblr (really, my only web blog I have). Each week I will try to post a picture and updates about the pregnancy until term.
Morning sickness has been absent through the majority of the pregnancy thus far, and it may be safe to say that it may never hit. I’ve been nauseated here and there, mainly if I haven’t been eating, which brings me to another topic. I’m constantly hungry! Although eating a large meal will set me off into a food coma and not feeling well (tummy ache) I do my best to eat small meals throughout the day. I find myself with more energy and a better attitude when eating healthy foods such as nuts, cheeses, crackers, veggies & fruits. Just like before pregnancy, ha. Diet truly makes a difference. Constipation is another issue I have, even when eating a balanced diet (including fiber, of course). We can blame that damn hormone Progesterone for slowing down the GI tract.
In the beginning of pregnancy I weighed about 130lbs and now I am weighing in at 135lbs on avg give or take. I’m not in my second trimester quite yet, so Im hoping to keep that weight at bay for now.
I’ve always been very health conscious since I’ve graduated high school and through college. I’m always attempting new healthy meal ideas and promote clean eating and decent exercise. Running has been my strength past couple years and I’ve really slowed down since becoming pregnant. Some of this is due to fatigue. I still consciously make aware to get a out a few times a week to do some cardio but tuning into your body is key in making sure you are not straining yourself in any way. Also, getting into a yoga class is next priority on the health list!
